Taking place in the 1980s, "Eric" revolves around Vincent, a renowned puppeteer in New York famous for the children's TV program Good Day Sunshine. When Edgar's nine-year-old son goes missing, Vincent is left shattered. He becomes increasingly unstable, feeling responsible for his son's disappearance. Holding onto Edgar's sketches of a puppet named Eric, Vincent is convinced that featuring Eric on TV will help him find his son.
