"Hit Man" Review: This Film Confirms Glen Powell's Star Status

A fascinating and much-needed diversion from the films that filmmaker Richard Linklater often oversees is Hit Man Lookmovie. It's the kind of tale that reminds me of Shaun of the Dead or Baby Driver by Edgar Wright. If an amateur had directed them, the film would have been OK, but because a seasoned industry veteran directed it, it was excellent. Every Linklater movie is a terrific movie.  This movie makes you wonder what will happen next, and it does it by telling the story in a way that allows you to feel as though you're learning and developing alongside the characters. One excellent illustration of this is when Glen Powell's character, Gary Johnson, is shown in the movie occasionally educating children about common human tendencies.
