Anne Collishaw, Australian Institute of Business

Anne Collishaw is the Deputy Director at the Department of Defence Australia.  She worked in the Australian Army and the Department of Defence for many years. She decided to study an MBA to help move up in her career and prepare for life after the Army.

After graduating from AIB, Anne was able to get an important new job as a Deputy Director. Her MBA from AIB really helped her get this promotion. 

Anne feels she has changed as a person from studying the MBA later in life. She applies what she learned to her personal and professional life. She has more empathy, especially when mentoring her team.

Anne's advice is - don't wait too long to start an MBA. At first she was nervous about going back to school after 30 years. But she just went for it and had a great experience learning with her peers.

Wendy Forster, RMIT University

Wendy is  from Beijing, China. She came to Australia to study but ended up liking the relaxed lifestyle and decided to stay longer. She later moved to other companies like Vocus and NAB, where she now helps improve online banking as a senior business analyst. Her advice to international students is to be brave, speak up in class, and make your voice heard. 

Ali Besiso, The University of Sydney

Ali is someone who really likes working with computers and technology to help make healthcare better. He is an expert in "digital health" and "clinical software solutions."

Ali has helped start two new companies that make special computer programs for hospitals and doctors. At these companies, Ali has worked on important projects for hospitals in Australia. He has designed and built computer systems that help doctors and nurses take better care of patients.

In 2018, his company HLA won a big award called the NSW Premier's iAward for making something really helpful for the public.

Then, in 2019, his other company iCIMS also won an award called the Medical Software Industry Association Innovation Award.

Aside from his companies, Ali is also part of a group called the Australasian Institute of Digital Health in NSW. This group is all about using technology to improve healthcare.

Usman Sindhu, Universal business School Sydney

Usman is from Pakistan. He finished his MBA from UBBS in August 2017. As a student, he felt he got good value for his money at UBBS.
