"Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace" has a special place in my heart due to its unique qualities. The characters, costumes, score, mythology, planets, and the epic final space/lightsaber battle all contribute to my love for this film. What sets it apart is the fact that it can be enjoyed as a standalone Star Wars story, with a clear beginning and end. Despite the poorly written character of Jar Jar Binks, I am captivated by the other characters such as Qui Gon Jinn, Queen Amidala, Darth Maul, and Obi-Wan Kenobi, who are all brilliantly crafted. The film also takes us back to Tatooine, allowing us to explore Darth Vader's childhood, which adds an intriguing element to the overall narrative. Additionally, the inclusion of the stunning planet Naboo and the towering cityscape of Coruscant leaves a lasting impression, making the film even more visually breathtaking.
