Recently, officials from Emirates Airlines visited Vijayawada International Airport and met with the airport director, Lakshmikanth Reddy, to discuss the matter.
The Emirates team is also conducting a survey to assess the number of passengers traveling from Vijayawada to Dubai and the expected traffic. Additionally, they inspected the existing terminal building and the ongoing construction of the new integrated terminal at the airport. This new terminal, which is expected to be completed in about six months, was also reviewed by the Emirates officials.
Although no official announcement has been made regarding the launch of the Vijayawada-Dubai flight service yet, clarity on the matter will come after the completion of Emirates' survey.
